Sanity guide
Corruption is both story flavor and mechanical pressure. These notes mirror the walkthroughs and achievement advice: short exposure beats long stares, and KEY dialogue often stabilizes the meter after heavy scenes.
Chapter 1
The basement blood table is the first big spike. Inspect what you need for clues, then step back. If you are chasing Thanks Key, you still need the interaction — just avoid looping the animation. Finish the basalt + quartz mechanism and exit the zone.
Chapter 2
Underwater sections add time pressure. Pre-plan the generator steps from the Chapter 2 walkthrough so you are not panicking while corruption audio climbs. The labyrinth body scene is another rubberneck trap — hit every prompt once, then move on.

Sanity FAQ
Is there a safe mode?
Depends on final game options. This wiki assumes default difficulty — use saves where the game allows.
How do I unlock Thanks Key?
Have KEY analyze 25 distinct clues. Chapters 1 and 2 of the demo contain more than half of them if you scan thoroughly.
Where is the quartz alloy?
Near the occult book pages on the shelves in May's house. Scan it on the Mineral sonar frequency when KEY unlocks that step.
I missed a clue — can I go back?
Most demo areas allow free backtracking inside the chapter. If a door locks, reload an earlier save if available.
